All too often, a question and answer session ends with the speaker or emcee saying:
- OK, we are out of time
- No more questions, let’s move on
- Well, that’s it
Consider using these two tips next time you facilitate Q&A:
- Keep an eye on the time, and as either time or interest seems to be running out announce, “We have time for one more question or comment. Whose will it be?”
- End smartly! Rather than closing by responding to a final question or comment, be prepared with a summary statement that wraps up the essence of the message or discussion.
Please share how you end your presentation.
